I have two very different PC's but both have W2k Pro with SP2 installed.

PC 1
Has PowerDVD3 but still will not play VCD 2 discs. It just locks up Power
DVD. Also when I try Windows Media Player that reports that it can not play
the fiel as it is not supported.

I can't copy the dat file to my HDD as it says that it is an invalid MS-DOS
function? This message is given by windows.

PC 2
Has Hollywood+ card and attempts to play the file but fails - Locks up.
Again can not copy the file to my hdd - Invalid etc....

However the files DO play in windows 98.

Has anybody any idea what could be the cause of this problem?

Waiting in anticipation.

Paul
